It is said that one who has a good morning, spends the whole day well. It has also been emphasized in the scriptures that when the morning starts well, the day is also good and to wish for this good day, people adopt different types of remedies. One such tradition is that as soon as you wake up in the morning, you should first look at your palms, it gives many benefits. There is a tradition of Kar Darshanam in which as soon as you wake up in the morning, join your two palms together and then open it and chant this mantra- Karagre Vasate Lakshmi: Karamdhe Saraswati. Karmule Tu Govindah Prabhate Kardarshanam. Meaning- Mahalakshmi resides in the front part of (my) hand, Saraswati in the middle part and Lord Vishnu resides in the root part. I bow to them, I see them.
कहते है जिसकी सुबह अच्छी होती है उसका पूरा दिन अच्छे से बीतता है। शास्त्रों में भी इस बात पर जोर दिया गया है कि सुबह की शुरूआत अच्छी होने पर दिन भी अच्छा होता है और इसी अच्छे दिन की कामना करने के लिए लोग अलग-अलग तरह के नुस्खे अपनाते है। ऐसी ही एक परंपरा है कि सुबह उठते ही सबसे पहले अपनी हथेलियों को देखना चाहिए इससे कईं लाभ प्राप्त होते हैं। कर दर्शनम् के एक परंपरा है जिसमें आप सुबह उठते ही अपने दोनों हथेलियों को आपस में मिलाएं और फिर खोल लें औप इस मंत्र का उच्चारण करें- कराग्रे वसते लक्ष्मी: करमध्ये सरस्वती। करमूले तू गोविन्दः प्रभाते करदर्शनम॥
